DE C.V. It was inaugurated on December 1, 2023. The first flight, Viva Aerobus VB9360 from Felipe Angeles Airport in Mexico City, landed at 1:15 PM with 179 passengers on board.

August 12, 2024

During a press conference on August 12th, 2024, Quintana Roo Governor Mara Lezama reported that Tulum International Airport has received 670,000 passengers and more than 5,200 flights in the first 8 months of operation (December 2023 – August 2024).

May 3, 2024

The first official international flight from Canada (AC1854) landed at Tulum International Airport (TQO) at 12:17 PM.

March 28, 2024

Tulum International Airport received the first official international flight (Flight # AA1131) from Dallas Fort Worth (DFW) to Tulum International Airport (TQO).

December 1, 2023

The first official flight has landed at Tulum Airport! Viva Aerobus Flight VB9360 originated from Felipe Angeles Airport and touched down at Tulum International Airport at 1:15 pm on Friday, December 1st, 2023.

September 26, 2023

President Lopez Obrador visited Tulum Airport and reported that the project is currently 65% complete. Tulum’s Felipe Carrillo International Airport will generate 15,000 new jobs for the state of Quintana Roo and is expected to attract more than 5 million passengers annually.

August 11, 2023

Tulum’s Felipe Carrillo International Airport will be the new secondary hub for the once-defunct airline known as Mexicana Airlines. The Mexican government recently resurrected the brand and spent 815 million pesos in the process ($47 million USD).
